I teach senior project research and a 1st year portfolio class in the Industrial Design Department at SJSU. My teaching approach lies in sparking ideas through implementation of the design process - identifying opportunities through research insights, brainstorming, concept development, and prototyping. I aim to foster critical thinking and problem solving strategies as well as create an atmosphere of entrepreneurship and innovation. I feel it is important to equip students with the tools and frameworks they can pull from to problem solve throughout their upcoming careers and lives. 

I am committed to advancing DEI in my teaching, course content, and conversations. Trained in online teaching best practices, as well as certified in mental health first aid.
